On September 1st, 2021 RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation had a virtual meeting with the Head of Arms Control Office, Operations Department, Defence Staff Norway (Oslo) who adressed RACVIAC with an offer to explore further ways of cooperating with and supporting RACVIAC.
MG (ret.) Jeronim Bazo, RACVIAC Director, warmly welcomed the Norwegian team headed by Ms Ragnhild Hustad with the following words: “ It is a pleasure, it is a privilege to welcome you back, we warmly welcome your cooperation with us.“
Ms Ragnhild Hustad thanked for the kind words and introduced her team participating in the meeting. She also mentioned their willingness to collaborate on individual projects that would be of common interest for both sides. During the meeting and while presenting RACVIAC mission and projects, it was found out that there are many areas where the interests of the Head of Arms Control Office, Operations Department, Defence Staff Norway intersect with the interests of RACVIAC. Both sides have expressed a desire to cooperate on projects in 2022, and future communication will define more specific areas of cooperation.
