Today RACVIAC Director MG (ret.) Jeronim Bazo received a courtesy visit from the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Mr. Yavuz Selim Kıran. RACVIAC delegation hosted him on RACVIAC premises.
RACVIAC Director expressed his gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Republic of Türkiye, mentioning that since the founding of RACVIAC Türkiye has had the status of a full Member and that as an active Member it has been fulfilling all the obligations of membership, including Chairmanship of the Steering group (MAG) in 2004, financial contribution to the work of RACVIAC, hosting activities and secondment of representatives.
Türkiye holds a permanent position in RACVIAC, that of Programme Manager in RACVIAC, which is currently being filled by COL Deniz Öztürk, CSE Pillar Programme Manager. Türkiye also nominated a Director, Ambassador Haydar Berk, who was the Director of the Organisation from 2015 to 2018.
H.E. Mr. Yavuz Selim Kıran confirmed that Türkiye will continue contributing to RACVIAC mission of fostering dialogue in the region.
