On 21 October 2025, Brigadier General Bilbil Bitri, Commander of the South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG), met with H.E. Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, Director of RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation, to reaffirm the long-standing partnership between the two institutions.
Ambassador Grigorie expressed appreciation for the visit, highlighting its special significance in light of RACVIAC 25th Anniversary, emphasizing that the cooperation between RACVIAC and SEEBRIG stands as a testament to their joint commitment to practical collaboration and shared objectives in fostering stability and security in South-East Europe. He also reflected on SEEBRIG’s 25th Anniversary Ceremony held in September last year, noting it as another milestone marking SEEBRIG’s continued contribution to regional peace and cooperation.
Both Brigadier General Bitri and Ambassador Grigorie fondly recalled their last meeting in September 2024, held on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of SEEBRIG in Kumanovo, North Macedonia. Ambassador Grigorie also noted that the establishment and activation ceremony of SEEBRIG, held in Plovdiv on August 31, 1999, holds special significance for him, as he personally attended the event in his capacity as Romania’s Ambassador to Bulgaria at the time.
During the meeting, Ambassador Grigorie and Brigadier General Bitri discussed future avenues of cooperation, RACVIAC ongoing activities and Programme, and explored possibilities for broader engagement between the two institutions.
Brigadier General Bitri conveyed his gratitude for the invitation to visit RACVIAC and reiterated SEEBRIG’s continued support to the Centre’s mission and activities.
