Ambassador Prof. Dr. Pascal Hector was greeted by H.E. Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, Director of RACVIAC, and his team. The visit began with a tête-à-tête meeting in the Director’s office, followed by a working meeting that provided a comprehensive overview of RACVIAC mission, current Programme, and its role in regional security cooperation.

RACVIAC Director, Ambassador Grigorie, expressed his deep appreciation for the visit and underscored the exceptional value of the long-standing partnership between the Federal Republic of Germany and RACVIAC. As one of the founding nations of RACVIAC, Federal Republic of Germany has been a steadfast pillar of support since the Centre’s very inception, contributing not only financially but also through the continuous provision of personnel, expertise, and strategic guidance.

Ambassador Grigorie highlighted that Germany’s unwavering engagement has played a decisive role in shaping the Centre into the respected regional platform it is today. Ambassador Grigorie also recalled that the first Chairman of the Multinational Advisory Group (MAG) was a distinguished German representative, General Hans Hübner. He also added that Germany continues to play a highly active role in supporting the Centre’s mission, particularly through the regular provision of outstanding expert lecturers and contributions in the field of Arms Control, an area in which German excellence and professionalism are being consistently recognized and appreciated.

Ambassador Grigorie highlighted the excellent and enduring partnership between RACVIAC and the German Verification Center (BwVC), commending Germany’s continued involvement and the upcoming participation of BwVC in the Arms Control Symposium.

Ambassador Prof. Dr. Pascal Hector expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and insightful overview of RACVIAC work. He reaffirmed that Germany remains dedicated to supporting the Centre regarding common efforts and joint endeavours.

In closing, both sides expressed sincere gratitude for the shared history of cooperation and reiterated their strong commitment to further deepening their strategic partnership.
