  • RACVIAC TOOK PART IN THE “SYNERGIES IN DEFENCE AND CIVILIAN CYBERSECURITY — TABLE TOP EXERCISE” IN BUCHAREST

From 8 to 9 October 2025, RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation participated in the “Synergies in Defence and Civilian Cybersecurity — Table Top Exercise”, hosted by the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Centre in Bucharest, Romania.

RACVIAC was represented by LTC Duško Marić, Activity Manager in CTST Pillar, who contributed to discussions and exercises focused on strengthening Europe’s collective cyber resilience.

Organized within the framework of the ECYBRIDGE project, a strategic EU initiative unifying the cybersecurity capabilities of civilian and defence sectors, the exercise aimed to enhance the EU’s readiness against cyber threats in line with the EU Cybersecurity Strategy for the Digital Decade and the Network and Information Security (NIS2) Directive.

Through realistic, scenario-based simulations, participants from defence, civilian, and international institutions tested crisis response mechanisms, shared best practices, and developed integrated long-term solutions. The exercise highlighted the importance of cooperation and adaptability between civilian and military structures as a foundation for Europe’s digital security.

Ultimately, the TTX reaffirmed that cooperation, adaptability, and resilience are the key to safeguarding Europe’s digital space, a vision that RACVIAC actively supports by promoting cooperation on cybersecurity topics for a safer South-Eastern Europe. It is important to highlight the fruitful cooperation between RACVIAC and the E-ARC in Bucharest, which was further strengthened by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding. In this context, particular emphasis should be placed on the Workshop  „Artificial Intelligence in Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems“, jointly organized by RACVIAC, E-ARC, and the University of Split in October 2024, as well as the participation of the Director of RACVIAC in the  „Outlook on Resilience Conference“, held in Bucharest in late April 2024.
