Major Elton Kalo, RACVIAC Planning & Liaison Officer for South East European Countries, represented RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation at the 18th Annual Meeting of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 9 June 2026, co-chaired by the RCC and the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).
Participants endorsed the RCC Annual Report, taking note of RCC’s work in advancing regional cooperation, supporting European integration, and delivering practical results for citizens and businesses across South East Europe and the Western Balkans.
The partnership between RCC and RACVIAC reflects a shared commitment to transforming regional priorities into practical cooperation. Through its role in promoting dialogue, coordination, and European integration, the RCC provides an important framework for regional collaboration, while RACVIAC serves as a platform for dialogue, capacity building, and cooperation on security matters in South East Europe.
As a long-standing partner of the RCC, RACVIAC welcomes the Council’s continued efforts in advancing regional cooperation and supporting the European integration process. Together, RCC and RACVIAC contribute to strengthening cooperation and resilience across South East Europe and the Western Balkans, supporting both regional integration processes and practical security cooperation.
In line with the meeting’s emphasis on resilience, regional ownership, and cooperation as key responses to evolving security challenges, RACVIAC remains committed to further strengthening cooperation with the RCC and regional partners in support of a more secure, stable, and integrated South East Europe.
