RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation participated in the 3rd Edition of the EU CBRN CoE Academy, held on 11 and 12 June 2026 in Turin, Italy. RACVIAC was represented by Mr György Rábai, Activity Manager in Cooperative Security Environment Pillar.
During a panel discussion at the CBRN Donor Coordination meeting for the South East European region, Mr Rábai informed the attendees about RACVIAC initiatives in this field and reaffirmed RACVIAC commitment to fostering regional cooperation, enhancing security capacities, and supporting coordinated international efforts in addressing evolving CBRN risks.
The Academy, implemented under the European Union CBRN Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence Initiative, serves as a key platform for connecting partner countries with the international and donor community, focusing on aligning support with concrete national and regional needs.
A central feature of the event was the Strategic Engagement Days, which provided a structured opportunity for direct engagement between national focal points, donors, international organisations, academia, and private sector actors.
The Academy also featured country presentations, thematic dialogues on emerging technologies and resilience tools, as well as matchmaking sessions designed to support practical collaboration and the development of impactful projects.
