From 11 to 12 July 2025, RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation participated in the 18th edition of the “Dubrovnik Forum,” held under the theme “Channeling the Change” in Dubrovnik. The Forum brought together a wide range of international stakeholders to discuss key global challenges and to explore avenues for enhanced stability, cooperation, and security.
RACVIAC was represented by its Director, H.E. Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie. The Dubrovnik Forum, known as a platform for dialogue on regional and global security issues, focused this year on the international implications of ongoing conflicts, political transitions, and the growing demand for coordinated global responses. Topics discussed included geopolitical shifts, trade tensions, European defence, the Three Seas Initiative, Western Balkans security and EU integration, the New Pact for the Mediterranean, Africa’s role in global dynamics, OECD enlargement, and the impact of artificial intelligence on Europe’s competitiveness and defence strategies. A special session also marked the 30th anniversary of the Split Declaration, which laid groundwork for the Dayton Peace Agreement. The programme included a Young Leaders’ Dialogue as well.
Through participation in the Forum, Ambassador Grigorie had the opportunity to highlight RACVIAC’s mission and ongoing work in promoting dialogue, cooperation, and trust in South East Europe and beyond. In line with this, he held several brief bilateral meetings with Igli Hasani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Elmedin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordan Grlić Radman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia, Timcho Mucunski, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, Mihai Popșoi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs,Türkiye.
During these meetings, Ambassador Grigorie presented the mission and core activities of RACVIAC, including the Centre’s upcoming plans and activities. He also used the opportunity to inform his interlocutors about the forthcoming celebration of the 25th anniversary of RACVIAC’s establishment.
