RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation participated in the Co-Located Annual Discipline Conference (ADC) held from 8 to 11 June 2026 in Stockholm, Sweden, further strengthening cooperation within NATO’s Education and Training community and contributing to the continuous development of Allied education and training. The Conference also provided an opportunity to advance cooperation with NATO partners and subject matter experts in the field of Gender in Military Operations, demonstrating the continued support for the integration of gender perspectives across the defence and security sector. RACVIAC was represented by Ms Katarina Kažić and Mr Igor Gabrić, Activity Managers in RACVIAC Security Sector Governance (SSG) Pillar.
The conference brought together representatives of four out of 29 NATO Education and Training (E&T) disciplines: Building Integrity (BI), Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC), Gender in Military Operations (GMO), and Integrated Security (ISD) and serves as a platform for reviewing NATO education and training requirements, assessing current training solutions and identifying priorities for the future development of the Alliance’s education and training programmes.
RACVIAC has been actively contributing to the Gender in Military Operations (GMO) discipline, coordinated by the Nordic Centre for Gender in Military Operations (NCGM), our long-standing partner in delivering the NATO-approved Gender Training of Trainers (GToT) Course, since 2014. During the conference participants reviewed current education and training priorities and explored ways to further integrate gender perspectives into NATO planning, operations, and multi-domain activities.
As part of the conference programme Mr Igor Gabrić delivered a presentation highlighting RACVIAC contribution to the Gender in Military Operations discipline. He presented Centre’s long-standing work in gender education and training, emphasising RACVIAC role as a reliable NATO Education and Training Facility and outlining opportunities to further strengthen cooperation with partner institutions.
The conference also provided an opportunity to discuss the future development of the Gender Training of the Trainers Course and to strengthen cooperation with the Nordic Centre for Gender in Military Operations and other NATO Education and Training Facilities.
Through its active engagement in NATO’s Education and Training community RACVIAC continues to ensure that its Programme remains aligned with evolving Allied priorities, delivering relevant education and training to its Members and partners across South East Europe and beyond.
