During his official visit to North Macedonia Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, Director of RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation, held a bilateral meeting on September 4th with Mr. Zoran Dimitrovski, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
Both parties expressed their satisfaction with the long-standing cooperation between RACVIAC and North Macedonia, underscoring its vital role in promoting regional security and stability. Ambassador Grigorie extended his sincere gratitude for North Macedonia’s unwavering support of RACVIAC over the past 24 years, particularly its active participation in RACVIAC activities and initiatives.
In his remarks Ambassador Grigorie highlighted that nearly ten RACVIAC activities have been successfully hosted in North Macedonia over the last decade, a testament to the country’s strong commitment to regional cooperation and security. A notable example is the hosting of the “Annual Meeting of the Representatives from Defense and Security Committees from SEE Parliaments” in 2018. He also prised the leadership of Ambassador Nikola Todorčevski, who served as RACVIAC Director from 2009 to 2012 during a pivotal transition period, showcasing the high level of expertise that North Macedonia contributes to the Organization.
Deputy Minister Dimitrovski emphasized RACVIAC active role in fostering regional trust and cooperation through various projects.
He underlined active participation of North Macedonia as NATO Member in strengthening efforts for securing peace and stability which are facing serious challenges created by the war in Ukraine and crisis in Middle East. Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirmed North Macedonia’s steadfast commitment to RACVIAC, demonstrated by its ongoing involvement in strategic planning, active participation and financial support, as well as the readiness to host RACVIAC activities.
Ambassador Grigorie reiterated RACVIAC dedication to continued collaboration with North Macedonia and other regional partners. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing common security challenges and strengthening regional stability.
