The Director of RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation, H.E. Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, paid a farewell visit to the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Gordan Grlić-Radman, on 26 April 2026.
On this occasion, Ambassador Grigorie expressed his sincere gratitude to the Republic of Croatia as the host nation of RACVIAC for its longstanding support and outstanding hospitality. He particularly emphasized Croatia’s continuous commitment to the Centre, reflected not only in its regular annual contributions and the provision of infrastructure, but also in its significant human resources engagement, including the highest number of seconded personnel, as well as its additional financial support for specific RACVIAC activities. The Director also expressed appreciation for the Minister’s personal engagement and steadfast support, both for RACVIAC activities and for him in his capacity as Director.
Reflecting on his mandate, RACVIAC Director highlighted the unique continuity of his service in Zagreb, where he previously served for seven years as Ambassador of Romania to Croatia. He underlined the exceptional cooperation and achievements realized during this period, noting the strong and dynamic bilateral relations developed together with Croatian partners across political, economic, and cultural domains. He also expressed pride in contributing to RACVIAC mission of fostering dialogue, cooperation, and stability in Southeast Europe during a time of evolving security challenges. Recalling RACVIAC 25th anniversary celebrated last year, RACVIAC Director emphasized that the Centre’s mission remains as relevant today as at its founding, particularly in light of current global geopolitical and security developments.
Minister Grlić-Radman commended Ambassador Grigorie for his dedicated and impactful service, both as Romania’s Ambassador to Croatia and as Director of RACVIAC. He acknowledged the Ambassador’s personal contribution to strengthening regional cooperation and advancing the Centre’s role as a platform for security dialogue.
Minister Grlić-Radman reiterated Croatia’s firm and continued support for RACVIAC and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to its active engagement in the Centre’s work.
