RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation today marked a significant occasion with the farewell visit of the German Defence Attaché to the Republic of Croatia, Lieutenant Colonel Guido Altendorf, and the inaugural visit of the new Defence Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Burkhard Weber. The German delegation was received by Rear Admiral Predrag Stipanović, the Deputy Director of RACVIAC.

During the meeting, Rear Admiral Stipanović extended heartfelt gratitude to Colonel Altendorf for his unwavering support and active engagement throughout his mandate in Croatia. As the MAG Point of Contact (POC) for Germany, Lieutenant Colonel Altendorf played a pivotal role in fostering cooperation and advancing the objectives of RACVIAC. Rear Admiral Stipanović acknowledged his contributions and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.

Welcoming Lieutenant Colonel Weber, Rear Admiral Stipanović expressed optimism for a productive and cooperative relationship. He emphasized the importance of Germany’s role as one of the co-founders of RACVIAC and looked forward to even greater involvement from the German delegation in the work of the Centre.

Both Lieutenant Colonel Altendorf and Lieutenant Colonel Weber expressed their gratitude for the hospitality and the fruitful discussions held during the meeting. They reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to remaining an active Associate Member of RACVIAC and contributing to its mission of enhancing security cooperation in the region.

RACVIAC is grateful for the enduring support of Germany and anticipates continued collaboration to achieve common goals in regional security and cooperation.
