Distraught by the sad news announcing the passing of Ambassador Branimir Mandić, Director of RACVIAC from 2012 to 2015, we would like to express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
Mr Mandić was born in Sarajevo, BA in July 1964. After graduating from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Sarajevo he worked, among others, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also held a position of Ambassador of BA in Hungary. Prior to his secondment to RACVIAC Mr Mandić served as Assistant Minister for Multilateral Affairs.
H.E. Ambassador Branimir Mandić completed his mandate as Director of RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation at the end of September 2015. From 2017 to 2018 he also chaired the MAG (Multinational Advisory Group). Ambassador Mandić will be remembered for his leadership in introducing a project-oriented approach to RACVIAC activities and his cheerful nature. He will remain in our memory as highly educated and knowledgeable, as well as kind and respectful, a true professional.
