Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, Director of RACVIAC – Center for Security Cooperation, participated in the 25th Anniversary Ceremony of SEEBRIG (South-Eastern Europe Brigade), held on September 3, 2024, in Kumanovo, Republic of North Macedonia. The event marked a significant moment in SEEBRIG’s history, celebrating its notable achievements and contributions to regional stability and cooperation.
Several key figures acknowledged SEEBRIG’s impact in their speeches, including Vlado Misajlovski, Minister of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mrs. Simona Cojocaru, SEDM Chairperson and Brigadier General Bilbil Bitri, Commander of SEEBRIG.
On the sidelines of this solemn event Ambassador Grigorie held a meeting with SEEBRIG’s Commander during which he expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to join the celebration and underlined SEEBRIG’s pivotal role in enhancing regional security. Ambassador Grigorie also mentioned the fact that SEEBRIG’s establishment and activation ceremony in Plovdiv on August 31, 1999 has special significance for him bearing in mind the fact that he attended in person the said event while he was Ambassador of Romania to Bulgaria. Twenty-five years after its establishment he emphasized the commendable achievements and contributions of SEEBRIG to regional stability and cooperation, expressing satisfaction for the continued close cooperation between RACVIAC and SEEBRIG.
“The partnership between RACVIAC and SEEBRIG,” Ambassador Grigorie stressed, “is a testament to our joint commitment to practical cooperation and shared objectives aimed at fostering stability in the region.” He highlighted recent collaboration, including RACVIAC support with a Mobile Training Team during last year’s “Gender Training of the Trainers Course” held in SEEBRIG Kumanovo, MK, and future cooperation initiatives in Border Security Management.
