A two – day Conference on “Resilience of Critical Infrastructure“ Role of Public – Private Partnership in Building Resilience, organized by RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation in partnership with ASIS International – Chapter Croatia, KAS – Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Office in Croatia and Magazine Zaštita, kicked off today in Hotel Westin Zagreb, Republic of Croatia. The Conference Welcome Addresses were given by Mr Zoran Bogadi, President of ASIS International – Chapter Croatia, Mr. Holger H. Haibach, Head of the KAS Office in the Republic of Croatia, MG (ret) Jeronim Bazo, Director of RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation and Mr Dražen Štajduhar, Ministry of Interior, Republic of Croatia.

The main aim of the event is to provide senior civilian and military experts as well as representatives of private companies with an understanding of the various aspects of resilience at the EU and state strategic level and the effects, thereafter, on the operational level through increased awareness of the importance of enhanced societal resilience.

The Conference is designed as a series of speeches and presentations given by high-level speakers from International and national organizations and ministries, followed by discussions and expert consultations.

The topics to be covered during the Conference are the following:

Module 1: „Armed Conflicts, Hybrid Threats and Critical Infrastructure Protection: Challenges, Opportunities and Open Questions”.

Module 2: „Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection“.

Module 3: “Public – Private Partnership in Strengthening Resilience and Critical Infrastructure Protection”.

Module 4: „Strategic and Normative Approach to Strengthening Resilience and Protecting Critical Infrastructure: Legal Framework and Suggestions for Improvement“.

Module 5: „Comprehensive Approach to the Protection of Critical Infrastructure“.

More than 100 participants from RACVIAC Members’ ministries and governmental agencies and the representatives of Private Security Companies and NGOs as well as experts from various institutions and think-tanks invited by RACVIAC, ASIS International and KAS Office in Croatia are attending the event.
