Upon the invitation of H.E. Ambassador Constantin – Mihail Grigorie, H.E. William De Baets, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Croatia, paid a visit to RACVIAC on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
The meeting, which took place on RACVIAC premises, is poised to be a pivotal moment in fostering mutual cooperation and understanding.
The primary agenda of the meeting included a presentation of RACVIAC history, Programme 2024, past cooperation with the Kingdom of Belgium and areas of possible future cooperation after which exploring ways to improve partnership between RACVIAC and the Kingdom of Belgium were discussed.
RACVIAC Director expressed his appreciation for the visit and highlighted the importance of Belgian-RACVIAC combined efforts in promoting regional security and stability and he seized the opportunity to bring to Ambassador De Baets’s attention the importance of Belgian participation in security dialogue and cooperation in South East Europe. This may involve financial contribution to RACVIAC Budget’s Programme section or supplying experts for its initiatives, he added.
Ambassador De Baets expressed his appreciation for the presentation and expressed his willingness to put efforts into increasing Belgian participation in RACVIAC activities.
Sharing the same ambition of promoting security and cooperation in South East Europe H.E. Ambassador De Baets and H.E. Ambassador Grigorie both expressed their commitment to enhance cooperation in the areas and subjects of common interest to expand Kingdom of Belgium’s cooperation with RACVIAC.
