H.E. Urs Hammer, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Republic of Croatia, paid an official visit to RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation on November 11th, 2024, following the invitation from RACVIAC Director, H.E. Ambassador Constantin Mihail Grigorie. The meeting underscored the commitment of both Switzerland and RACVIAC to strengthening security cooperation across South East Europe.
Ambassador Hammer was welcomed to the Centre during a tête-à-tête meeting with Ambassador Grigorie, during which they discussed shared perspectives on regional security and strategies to address common challenges in South East Europe. Following the meeting Ambassador Hammer was presented with a comprehensive overview of RACVIAC Programmes and initiatives, which focus on promoting peace, security and stability within the region.
Expressing his appreciation for RACVIAC contributions, Ambassador Hammer commended the Organization’s work in fostering effective security cooperation and building resilience among South East European nations. He praised the Organization’s commitment to addressing regional security challenges and highlighted the influence that RACVIAC has on promoting regional stability and security.
Ambassador Grigorie thanked Ambassador Hammer for the visit and they both agreed to continue the dialogue and to explore the possibilities of Switzerland’s participation in the work of RACVIAC, having in mind the common goals of promoting security and cooperation in SEE and beyond.
