Upon the invitation of RACVIAC Director, H.E. Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, H.E. Mrs. Hana Kovačová, the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia to the Republic of Croatia, paid a visit to RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation on December 13, 2023.
Ambassador Kovačová was welcomed at RACVIAC facilities in Rakitje, where she gained a deeper understanding of RACVIAC operations and met with key personnel. The visit comprised a tête-à-tête meeting with Ambassador Grigorie, during which he provided insights into the history of RACVIAC and its ongoing endeavours to foster international defense and security cooperation. The presentation of the 2024 Programme highlighted fresh prospects for bolstering mutual trust and collaborative initiatives aimed at promoting regional stability. Additionally, an engaging discussion took place with the RACVIAC Programme staff on the occasion.
Ambassador Grigorie opened the door to future, more intensive cooperation with Slovakia in helping RAVIAC achieve its mission of promoting regional security, stability and fostering dialogue among the countries of South East Europe.
Sharing the common goals of security and cooperation in South East Europe, H.E. Ambassador Kovačová and H.E. Ambassador Grigorie both accentuated their willingness to put efforts into expanding Slovak cooperation with RACVIAC.
Ambassador Kovačová expressed her gratitude for RACVIAC Director’s invitation, conveying her pleasure in accepting it.
Furthermore, she extended appreciation for the information shared and commended the admirable efforts of RACVIAC over the course of the past 23 years after which she promised that she would do her best to encourage cooperation between RACVIAC and Slovakia.
Ambassador Constantin – Mihail Grigorie thanked for the visit and praised the expressed interest in the Organization’s work and future cooperation.
