Ambassador of Lithuania pays a visit to RACVIAC

Upon the invitation of H.E. Ambassador Constantin – Mihail Grigorie, H.E. Eduardas Borisovas, Ambassador of Lithuania to the Republic of Croatia, paid a visit to RACVIAC on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

The Lithuanian Ambassador was warmly welcomed on RACVIAC premises in Rakitje and got introduced to the Centre’s operations and staff. During the visit H.E. Ambassador Borisovas had a tête-à-tête meeting with Ambassador Grigorie, during which the Director briefed him on RACVIAC history and ongoing efforts to improve international security cooperation. Additionally, Programme 2025 was presented to Ambassador Borisovas and new efforts to advance regional stability and mutual trust were touched upon.

RACVIAC Director expressed his appreciation for the visit and highlighted the importance of Lithuanian-RACVIAC combined efforts in promoting regional security and stability and he seized the opportunity to bring to Ambassador Borisovas’s attention the importance of Lithuanian participation in security dialogue and cooperation in South East Europe, highlighting opportunities for contributing to RACVIAC initiatives through various forms of support.

H.E. Ambassador Borisovas expressed his appreciation for the presentation of upcoming RACVIAC activities and expressed his willingness to put efforts into increasing Lithuanian participation in them.

Sharing the same ambition of promoting security and cooperation in South East Europe Ambassador Borisovas and Ambassador Grigorie both agreed to continue the dialogue with the purpose of increasing Lithuanian involvement in RACVIAC in order to share the common goals of security and cooperation in SEE.
