Responsible for direction and control of RACVIAC. In addition, the director is responsible for the cooperation of RACVIAC with the verification agencies of the states, and the armed forces supporting RACVIAC's training. The Director represents RACVIAC with respect to all external affairs. He is an advisory observer of the Multinational Advisory Group (MAG). The Director provides the MAG with an annual plan which includes proposals for the measures to be conducted as well as the financing of all projects of RACVIAC, and he accepts the MAG's instructions regarding these topics.

Responsible for raising the visibility of RACVIAC amongst OSCE countries and within the region, by increasing public knowledge and by promoting public understanding of RACVIAC's mission, its roles and capabilities; Maintains liaison with PR staffs at the Stability Pact, OSCE, NATO, Embassies and MOD's; Provides the Secretary, within the Secretariat for the Multinational Advisory Group (MAG), responsible for the preparation, organisation, correspondence and minutes of all MAG Meetings.
